RIP Miss Casey. A sad day. I’ve seen the Snowbirds and they put on a fantastic show. Hope they find the cause and prevent it from ever happening again.

This is so tragic and feels kinda pointless too
, I have a whole bunch of questions and will
probably write
my
own post if
I feel up to it.
I don’t want to jump to conclusions but
watching the Snowbirds at the airshow over the summer
I kept
thinking there’
s always an added element of danger to their performance because those are
such
old airplanes.
I have to wonder if this is the end
of the team; there hasn’t been the money for new planes for the last 20-30 years. If they determine
that’s what’s needed it’s certainly
not
going
to happen given Covid.
T
his wasn’t a crash into a field either; they hit a residential neighborhood,
it’s
a miracle they didn’t kill anyone on the ground.
